APRIL 27, 2019 in WELLAND: The Welland Public Library hosts local and out-of-town poetry readers from the Canadian anthology Tamaracks. Featured readers TBA. 2 to 4 p.m. Welland Public Library, 50 The Boardwalk. This is a National Poetry Month event.

JANUARY 28, 2019 in SARNIA: CADENCE: FOLK ART SALON with four featured artists from multiple disciplines: Photographer Jale Fancey (Sarnia); Poet Ryan Gibbs (London); Musician Gregger Botting (Petrolia); and Musician/poet Tom Gannon Hamilton (Toronto). Hosted by Sharon Berg of Big Pond Rumours Press, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sarnia Public Library, West Room (2nd floor, there is an elevator), 124 Christina Street South. Admission free. (NOTE: This event will be held on the last Monday of each month.)

JANUARY 23, 2019 in LONDON: Poetry London Reading Series spotlights Susan Holbrook and Julie Cameron Gray, Workshop 6:30 p.m. Reading 7:30 p.m. Landon Branch Library, 167 Wortley Road.

JANUARY 19, 2019 in SARNIA: The Black Donnellys and Electric Motion Pictures presents the movie premiere of Black Gold, (three show times: 4:30 p.m. 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.) at the Imperial Theatre, 168 North Christina Street. This is a ticketed event.

EVERY SECOND AND THIRD MONDAY, 2019 in SARNIA: “Open Stage” at the Lawrence House Centre for the Arts. Hosted by singer-songwriters Missy Burgess. To be held the second and third Monday of each month. Welcomes music, poetry, storytelling, prose and those who wish to just listen. 7 to 9 p.m.

EVERY MONDAY, 2019  in POINT EDWARD: Writers Helping Writers (WHW) workshop: Lambton County writers are invited to a weekly workshop for writers, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. each Monday (except holiday Mondays) at Point Edward Library on Michigan Avenue. More details: bobandjane62@gmail.com
